VOLTAGE STRENGTH TEST (CABLE)

The test voltage is applied to the conductor for 5 minutes on single core cables at ambient temperature. All cores and metallic components, if any, are grounded, except for the core to be tested in multi-core cables.

CONDUCTOR RESISTANCE MEASUREMENT

The cables whose conductors are to be measured are placed in the test chamber for at least 12 hours at the test temperature. Then, the conductor resistance is measured by calculating the temperature factor with the help of microohmmeter.

PUNCH TENSION TEST

The test starts with the routine test voltage and the voltage is increased with kV (max.10) steps until a short circuit occurs. Electric field density should not be lower than desired. Testing is very important in material selection.
